Footy, new people and soft serve
Uhm, sooo...we do not talk about the fact, that my last post was about two weeks ago, after I had promised myself I'd write AT LEAST once a week. Ok? Thanks, great! Anyway. I'm trying to think of what to write, but the only thing I actively remember is bying soft serve two times, and both were expensive as shit (15 dollars, like do you also want my liver or what?). Oh and in the cafè, where I bought the first ice cream, there was also a pidgeon just chilling inside. His name is Francis (i named him :3). What else? I've started school, watched the eagles win and met some other exchange students (not in this order though I think). Wow, I should definetely start doing more sudoks, to avoid getting alzheimer early, because like my teacher once said: Mei Hirn is a Nudelsieb (which translates to: "my brain is a pasta strainer", I know, very deep poetry). Now I'll stop yapping and start trying to recall all that has happened.
So, the Footy game. It was not only the first Footy game that I've watched live in a stadium, but the first sports game ever where I was live there. It was pretty fun to be honest, well atleast way more fun than I had imagined, who knew watching 36 guys chase after a ball could be interesting at all? (i didn't before this). Also the fact that the team, that the people, who took me too the game with them, were rooting for, won definiteley helped to set the mood.
Meeting the other exchange students was probably my favourite thing of this list, because I got a comfy hoodie at the meeting! Also meeting new people, who are going through the exact same things as me at the moment (cultural shocks, dealing with time difference and starting a whole ass new life) was pretty nice (even though i only remeber about 25% of all the names there).
No wait, I lied, my favourite part was going shopping in karrinyup, with my thrid host family (that was also where I bought the second sell-my-liver-to-afford-it-soft-serve). I really enjoyed that day, not only because here they have way better stores, but also because I already love my other host family. The mother is really caring (and reminded me a lot of my own mom) and her three children, well the two that I interacted with were lovely. Especially the youngest, she's a really sweet kid. BUT the best thing EVER was meeting their two dogs, they were so cute! I almost cried (not dramatic at all) because of happy I was to have a dog again, even if only for a few months <3
